About the Job
We are hiring an experienced Utility Maintenance – Section Head for a FullTime, OnSite role at a manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have 12–18 years of hands-on experience managing plant utilities (DG sets, compressors, chillers, HVAC, pumps, WTP/ETP) and driving reliability and energy-efficiency programs. You will lead the utility maintenance function, develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, own SAP PM workflows, ensure statutory and EHS compliance, and mentor a multidisciplinary team. Indicative CTC range: ₹18 LPA – ₹32 LPA.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure uptime of all utility systems including DG, compressors, chillers, HVAC and pumps to meet production needs.
- Develop and implement Preventive and Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM) strategies to reduce breakdowns and increase equipment life.
- Lead root-cause analysis for breakdowns and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and repeat failures.
- Drive energy efficiency and cost-optimization initiatives across utilities, monitoring KPIs and reporting savings.
- Manage SAP PM module activities: work orders, notifications, spare usage and maintenance reporting.
- Ensure compliance to EHS, LOTO, ISO and statutory requirements; conduct audits and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Lead, coach and manage the maintenance team and external vendors to deliver targeted performance and safety standards.
- Oversee civil maintenance and execute small plant projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget control.
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies such as TPM, Kaizen and Lean to enhance reliability and productivity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or allied engineering with 12–18 years of relevant experience.
- Strong expertise in SAP PM or other CMMS for maintenance planning and execution.
- Hands-on knowledge of DG sets, chillers, HVAC systems, compressors and industrial pumps.
- Experience with TPM, PdM technologies (vibration, thermography, oil analysis) and preventive maintenance programs.
- Proven track record in energy reduction, cost optimization and vendor management.
- Sound knowledge of EHS, LOTO and ISO systems with experience in audits and compliance.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and team development skills to manage cross-functional teams.
- Experience in FMCG/Pharma/Chemical/Heavy manufacturing environments is desirable.
