Overview
Validation Engineer at SFIA Level 3 for Maersk’s Edge Platform, orchestrating end-to-end validation across multiple container terminals and related platforms.
What you'll do
- Govern and deliver the end-to-end validation framework for the Edge Platform across engineered products, including third-party technologies.
- Maintain validation standards, acceptance criteria, and readiness gates for global platform deployments.
- Lead validation activities in the Platform Lab and during terminal and regional deployments.
- Shape validation strategies for functionality, resilience, performance, recoverability, and operational supportability.
- Enable operational readiness assessments for compute, network, backup/disaster recovery, monitoring, cyber security, support tooling, and service management processes.
- Ensure defects, deviations, risks, and non-conformances are tracked and resolved before production release.
What you'll need
- 6–9 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform operations, service validation, testing, quality assurance, or operational readiness.
- Proven experience contributing to large and complex infrastructure, platform, or edge technology programmes.
- Strong understanding of validation methodologies, testing frameworks, and operational readiness practices.
- Demonstrable knowledge of ITIL principles and service acceptance governance.
- In-depth knowledge of Edge Infrastructure/Data Centre technologies, networking, compute, storage, and virtualisation.
- Strong understanding of disaster recovery, backup, monitoring, and observability solutions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Details
- Travel to terminals and key stakeholder locations is required when needed.
- Aligned to SFIA Level 3 and reports to the Global Head of Edge Infrastructure Platform Lifecycle Services.
