VP, Release Train Engineer

Overview

Lead and coach the Emerging Payments Agile Release Train, develop and release capabilities with partners, and drive process improvements to increase speed to market. Work across multiple agile teams to deliver innovative payments and banking solutions to production.

What you'll do

• Lead large/enterprise agile initiatives using Scaled Agile Methodology.
• Facilitate PI planning events.
• Directly manage a team of scrum masters.
• Lead, manage and direct cross-functional IT and business resources throughout the agile lifecycle.
• Manage collaboration across agile teams, the ART, Large Solution, dependency teams, third parties, waterfall teams and other areas aligned with the team’s PI commitments.
• Track execution of features and capabilities.
• Plan and communicate with business, Technology leadership and other key stakeholders regarding agile program status, milestones, issue resolution and escalation.
• Manage risks, dependencies and priority or scope changes introduced to the ART.
• Manage a multimillion-dollar budget.
• Coach leaders and teams in lean agile practices and mindset.
• Develop an effective communication strategy across projects and constituencies.
• Act as Tech Product Lead as needed in addition to core RTE responsibilities.
• Ensure teams have clarity on outcomes, requirements and operational readiness for Emerging Payments delivery.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Risk/Compliance and Operations to clarify outcomes and drive execution.
• Work with the Product Manager to translate Emerging Payments problems into technical epics and features.
• Lead rapid triage of issues, including provisioning or transaction failures and latency spikes.
• Drive root cause analysis and ensure sustainable fixes are implemented.

What you'll need

• Strong knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework and experience on or leading an Agile Release Train.
• A proven track record of leading and executing critical business initiatives.
• Experience working with large cross-functional teams to deliver features to clients.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to manage expectations of the business, clients, team members, management and external groups.
• A hands-on, self-motivated approach with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple initiatives.
• A curiosity-driven mindset, including asking meaningful questions, challenging ambiguity and pursuing solutions until issues are fully resolved.
• Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of Technology experience or equivalent leadership program experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 12 years of IT experience, including experience developing and implementing information systems and project management experience.
• Proven experience delivering payment solutions, with understanding of end-to-end payment flows.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience developing and implementing information systems.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project management and/or scrum master work with strong understanding of Agile.

Details

• Location: Hyderabad, India.
• Work from home or from workspaces in Regional Engagement Hubs in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Kolkata or Delhi/NCR.
• Available between 03:00 PM and 12:00 AM IST for meetings with India and US teams.
• Occasional commuting or travel to Hyderabad or a Regional Engagement Hub may be required for in-person business or team meetings, trainings and culture events.
