VP, Sales Engineering

Overview

VP, Sales Engineering role leading and scaling an Americas pre-sales (Solutions Engineering) organization and partnering with Sales, Product, and Marketing to drive customer outcomes.

What you'll do

• Lead, mentor, and grow an Americas Solutions Engineering team across multiple account segments.
• Define the regional SE strategy, resource allocation, and operating rhythms to support pipeline, win rates, and retention.
• Partner with Americas Sales leadership to align technical strategy with revenue and close plans.
• Improve discovery, architecture design, proofs-of-concept, and executive presentations for deal execution.
• Create repeatable technical sales plays for growth areas including AI governance and fraud prevention.
• Engage with CISOs, CIOs, and technology executives as an advisor on digital transformation and AI security.
• Translate field insights and customer feedback into inputs for Product Management and Engineering roadmaps.

What you'll need

• Proven success leading, coaching, and scaling distributed technical sales or solutions engineering teams in enterprise environments.
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity and Identity & Access Management (IAM), cloud architecture, or API security, including AI’s impact on security models.
• Demonstrated track record partnering with Sales to drive revenue, increase deal velocity, and navigate enterprise buying cycles.
• Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into business narratives for C-suite audiences.
• Strong inclusive mindset focused on diverse teams and equitable career development.
• Preferred: previous SaaS platform sales experience across Workforce, Customer (CIAM), or Governance domains.
• Preferred: familiarity with hybrid/cloud architectures, microservices, and AI-driven workflows.
