WiFi MAC Design - Lead Engineer

Overview

Lead hardware engineering for WiFi MAC and modem hardmacro implementation, taking complex digital blocks from post-RTL through netlist release while improving area, timing, power, and testability.

What you'll do

• Lead, train, and mentor junior engineers on complex modem design projects.
• Collaborate with RTL, DFT, and physical design leads worldwide.
• Drive projects from post-RTL through netlist release.
• Write timing constraints and perform synthesis and formal verification.
• Optimize datapath designs for low area, low power, and high speed.
• Optimize PPA using synthesis options, standard-cell libraries, and memories.
• Handle digital blocks exceeding 1M gates in advanced process nodes.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of hardware engineering or related experience.
• Alternatively, a master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, a PhD and 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Strong fundamentals in microarchitecture, computer arithmetic, circuit design, and process technology.
• Experience with synthesis tools including Design Compiler or Genus.
• Experience with formal verification, low-power verification, PTPX, PrimeTime, and ECO tools.
• Experience with UPF-based power intent and synthesis.
