Accounts Payable Associate

Overview

Support accounts payable and accounting activities, including invoice processing, vendor account maintenance, payments, close, audit support, controls, and AP process improvements.

What you'll do

• Process vendor invoices for company entities.
• Create purchase orders and match them with receipts or work orders and invoices.
• Reconcile supplier statements and prepare payments.
• Support monthly and quarterly AP close activities.
• Assist with bank reconciliations, schedules, and audit documentation.
• Support AP automation, banking-platform, and ERP integrations.
• Identify improvements to AP efficiency, documentation, and controls.

What you'll need

• 3–5+ years of progressive accounts payable or accounting experience.
• Experience supporting a month-end close process.
• Experience working with an ERP system.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and procure-to-pay processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reconciliations and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a small finance team.

Nice to have

• Experience in a corporate environment.
• Experience in life sciences, biotech, or another highly regulated environment.
• Business Central experience.
• Experience with AP automation, expense management, or electronic payment systems.
