Overview

AI Deployment Engineer for OpenAI’s startup customers, guiding GenAI application ideation, development, delivery, and scaling using the OpenAI API.

What you'll do

• Partner with strategic startup customers as a technical thought partner to build novel API-based applications.
• Provide proactive guidance to maximize business impact and accelerate application development.
• Experiment and prototype practical use cases alongside customers.
• Contribute to open-source resources by sharing knowledge, codifying best practices, and publishing useful materials.
• Synthesize and deliver feedback to Product and Research teams.
• Build relationships in the startup ecosystem as a technical partner to customers and the broader community.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, ML engineer, or equivalent.
• Experience as a founder or founding engineer is highly valued.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
• Strong grasp of AI/LLM best practices.
• Built and/or delivered prototypes on top of the OpenAI API platform.
• Ability to speak Japanese and English fluently.
