Analyst - Procurement

Overview

Support purchasing and procurement activities by maintaining purchasing records, coordinating orders and delivery updates, working with suppliers and logistics providers, and assisting with procurement documentation and reviews.

What you'll do

• Perform administrative activities related to Purchasing.
• Maintain files, logs, records of invoices, purchase orders and other related documentation.
• Enter and maintain information on various business systems.
• Assist in expediting orders.
• Contact vendors to obtain prices and schedule delivery dates.
• Develop and maintain resources for assigned commodity items.
• Prepare standard requests for quotation.
• Coordinate pricing revisions, order cancellations, delivery date revisions and activities associated with discontinued items.
• Review and recommend acceptable substitutes.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Interface directly with suppliers to resolve purchasing, change order and logistics issues.
• Help or participate in purchase order negotiation, placement, maintenance and follow-up.
• Review standardized reports to identify issues or generate group statistics.
• Recommend buys to planning or adjust purchase order deliveries.
• Perform computer queries and conduct related research to provide component and order information.
• Provide routing instructions and track and trace shipments.
• Interface with carriers, freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Prepare shipping and customs documentation.
• Help with supplier contract negotiation and development.
• Assist in content preparation and participate in strategic supplier reviews.

What you'll need

• Completion of secondary school, vocational training, or equivalent with experience.
• Typically 0-2 years of related experience.
