Application Engineer

Overview

Application Engineer responsible for preparing design and technical commercial proposals for material handling equipment and modernizations, including customized crane solutions for specialized (including nuclear) environments.

What you'll do

• Develop 3D CAD models and detailed 2D production drawings for customized cranes.
• Support all phases of the sales process technically.
• Review customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and related technical documentation.
• Engineer crane structural components such as hoist, trolley, and bridge for specialty applications.
• Create preliminary mechanical system configurations including man-hour estimates and manufacturing quotes.
• Use proprietary software, price books, product manuals, and manual calculations to design and select components.
• Travel to customer sites globally with the sales team.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in designing and technical sales process.
• Proficiency in 2D design tools (AutoCAD/Vertex) and 3D design tools (NX/Solidworks/Inventor).
• Strong experience in solution-oriented, customer-centric work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and blueprint/specification reading.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and MS Projects.

Details

• Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 standards.
• Mechanical and electrical design and estimating is required.
