Application Support Engineer

Overview

Serve as an Application Support Engineer and software detective, investigating and resolving issues across multiple components of critical business systems. Monitor systems, collaborate with teams, and deliver timely solutions to maintain application reliability and performance.

What you'll do

• Act as an SME, collaborate with and manage the team to perform.
• Make team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for the immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align support activities with business objectives.
• Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical and problem-solving skills.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize support processes and system stability.
• Investigate and resolve issues across various components of essential business systems.
• Identify problems, analyze system behavior, and ensure the smooth operation of critical applications.
• Continuously monitor systems and deliver timely solutions to maintain system reliability and performance.

What you'll need

• Minimum 7.5 year(s) of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
• Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
• Experience in database performance tuning.
• Experience with backup and recovery strategies.
• Experience with database security management.
• Strong knowledge of database architecture, installation, configuration, and patching.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and provide effective solutions.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting to streamline database administration tasks.
• 15 years full time education.
