Application Support Engineer II

Overview

Application Support Engineer II (P2) in Bangalore, supporting complex and business-critical applications through incident and problem management.

What you'll do

• Support and maintain most complex, business-critical applications integrated across functions.
• Troubleshoot and rectify application issues and provide progress updates to seniors/stakeholders.
• Monitor application alerts and provide proactive services.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for issues and implemented solutions.
• Perform root cause analysis by reviewing logs and data, then implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Work in a 24/7 rotational shift environment.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience as an application maintenance & support engineer, systems analyst, or application support analyst.
• Exposure to Incident, Request, and Problem Management processes with troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience writing SQL queries.
• Technical skills/tools knowledge including ServiceNow, Oracle, SQL, Kafka, and basics of Unix.
• Monitoring tools knowledge such as Dynatrace and Splunk.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Nice to have

• Financial domain knowledge.
• ITIL foundation certification.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies; AWS/Azure preferred.
• Good understanding for SRE principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
