Overview
Applications Engineer responsible for developing, integrating, testing and supporting web-based applications and middleware using Oracle SOA technologies.
What you'll do
- Develop using BPEL and OSB.
- Integrate SOA with Oracle ERP.
- Apply synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns to solve message sequencing, correlation and queuing problems.
- Use SOA design patterns to build middleware systems from the ground up, including message routing, content enrichment, message filtering and message transformation.
- Perform SOA and Middleware WebLogic administration activities.
- Use BPEL, BPMN and rules concepts.
- Use File, Database, FTP and JMS adapters for integration using Oracle Service Bus.
- Develop business processes using Oracle BPEL Process Manager.
- Apply SOA governance and best practices for SOAP and REST web service development.
- Manage business assets such as XSDs, WSDLs, process definitions and XSLT.
- Design, architect, develop and unit test web-based applications and middleware.
- Learn and deliver on new technologies as situations arise.
- Deliver solutions meeting the highest quality standards.
- Follow quality and SDLC processes and suggest improvements.
- Work with a global team, participate actively in conference calls, and drive discussions and meetings.
- Work closely with other teams on production issues and projects.
- Estimate work efforts for complex technology implementations, deliver results and meet deadlines using good time management.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute as a team player.
What you'll need
- Hands-on development expertise in BPEL and OSB.
- Experience of SOA integration with Oracle ERP.
- Experience working on 11g and 12c versions of SOA.
- Deep understanding of synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns.
- Problem-solving abilities with respect to message sequencing, correlation and queuing.
- Knowledge of SOA design patterns for building middleware systems from the ground up.
- Experience in SOA and Middleware WebLogic administration activities.
- Experience using BPEL, BPMN and rules concepts.
- Knowledge of SOAP, REST APIs and JSON payloads.
- Experience using File, Database, FTP and JMS adapters for integration using Oracle Service Bus.
- Experience developing business processes using Oracle BPEL Process Manager.
- Knowledge of SOA governance and best practices for SOAP and REST web service development.
- Experience with design, architecture, development and unit testing of web-based applications and middleware.
- Good communication skills.
- Self-driven and bottom-line oriented.
- Good team player who works well with other team members.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL and ODI.
