Applications/Systems Engineer - Post-Sales

Overview

Customer Success Specialist for Pathology & Sequencing Lab, providing field-based pre-sales support, application support, and training for new and existing sequencing and pathology customers in Bangalore.

What you'll do

• Provide scientific support and workflow optimization across pre- and post-sales activities.
• Troubleshoot platform-specific chemistry or hardware challenges and optimize run parameters.
• Drive improvements in technical support through troubleshooting and simple data analysis.
• Coordinate or perform application training and demonstrations for customers/affiliates.
• Collect and communicate strategic and competitive feedback to global and regional stakeholders.
• Report field activities regularly to upper management.

What you'll need

• Sequencing laboratory discipline experience including sample preparation, workflow, and target capture.
• At least 5 years of lab experience in molecular biology, biotechnology, or a related biological/biomedical field.
• At least 5 years of practical application experience covering application training/support, experimental design, troubleshooting, and NGS wet lab work (library prep, PCR, target enrichment).
• NGS instrument troubleshooting experience across commercial sequencers (e.g., Roche, Illumina, Thermo Fisher/Ion Torrent, PacBio, MGI).
• Experience with bioinformatics software/methodologies and NGS application in oncology.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.

• Travel: approximately 50–60% (including overnight travel) to customer sites across India.
