Lead Systems Operations Engineer

Overview

Lead Systems Operations Engineer responsible for complex, broad-impact systems operations initiatives, including consultation for technology teams and governance-aligned incident/problem/event management.

What you'll do

• Lead complex initiatives across Event Management, Incident Management, and Operational Excellence functions.
• Serve as the primary event commander during Major Incidents, coordinating restoration and impact analysis.
• Review and analyze complex technical incidents, recurring issues, service degradations, and operational risks.
• Drive permanent corrective actions through Problem Management processes for systemic issues.
• Develop and present operational reports and executive dashboards, including Power BI analytics.
• Ensure adherence to Incident, Change, Problem, and Event Management governance standards.
• Partner to improve MTTD and MTTR and identify opportunities for automation of operational activities.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of Systems Engineering and related Technology Architecture experience (or equivalent via work/training/military/education).
• Additional required experience: 5+ years in Systems Engineering, Systems Operations, Production Support, Event Management, or Technology Operations (or equivalent).
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing operational support teams with 10+ team members.
• Experience managing operational reports, executive dashboards, Power BI reports, ServiceNow metrics, and leadership presentations.
• Strong understanding of Incident, Change, Problem, and Event Management processes.
• Ability to perform effectively during high-pressure, mission-critical events and outages.
