Apprentice(Finance)

Overview

A 12-month apprenticeship in Illumina's Finance Team in Bengaluru, India, for recent graduates or career starters, combining hands-on finance and analytics work with training and mentorship.

What you'll do

• Maintain financial records and assist in preparing financial reports.
• Conduct bank reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
• Process invoices and prepare journal entries.
• Support the creation and optimization of dashboards and visual reports.
• Learn and apply Excel-based modelling techniques to support analysis and reporting.
• Gain experience working with enterprise analytics and reporting tools.
• Assist in designing and building KPIs and business performance metrics.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and provide practical solutions.
• Continuously learn and improve reporting tools and analytical processes.

What you'll need

• Knows basic accounting principles and curiosity to learn and develop.
• Strong interest in data, analytics, business insights, and digital tools.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to various analytics tools used in the team.
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to contribute to team goals.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word.
• Preferred educational background: B.Com, bachelor's or master's degree in commerce, accounting, or finance.

Nice to have

• Basic understanding of data handling, querying, or visualization.
• Exposure to any ERP, analytics or reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Tableau, Power BI).
• Participation in data-related coursework, internships, personal projects, bookkeeping, or finance.
