Area Sales Manager - East

Overview

Area Sales Manager - East is responsible for delivering sales targets in an assigned territory by managing dealer relationships, executing sales plans, and leading the sales team for Syngenta’s crop protection portfolio.

What you'll do

• Manage dealers end-to-end, covering sales volume, stock, planning, and follow-up.
• Analyze dealer behavior and profiles, including key decision-makers and dealer potential.
• Execute sales planning using the crop/planting calendar and seasonal sales cycles.
• Drive pull-out performance by defining and executing action plans to close gaps.
• Coordinate demand-generation activities with the Market Development team and support sales promotions in-field.
• Analyze Power BI dashboards and deliver timely market updates on competitors, pricing, promotions, and risks.
• Lead monthly meetings and provide on-the-job coaching to team members.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Plant Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years in agricultural sales or crop management.
• At least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in dealer/distributor management and channel development.
• Strong knowledge of specialized crop segments in the designated area.
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and developing high-performing teams.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
