Assistant Controller

Overview

The Assistant Controller supports Business Unit Controller activities across accounting, statutory and tax reporting, and month-end close compliance.

What you'll do

• Ensure statutory and tax compliance for a country or group of countries using service providers.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely accounting of legal entities in enterprise systems.
• Run month-end close per the reporting timetable and review reconciliations for critical accounts.
• Code transactions accurately in line with accounting policies.
• Liaise with auditors to ensure timely completion of statutory and tax audits.
• Participate in balance sheet and cost reviews.
• Coordinate tax packs and provisions, including transfer pricing review on quarterly and annual schedules.

What you'll need

• Accounting graduate qualification.
• Core prior experience in the specific areas mentioned above.
• Experience working with third-party providers for statutory and tax reporting and year-end submissions.
• Ability to interact with groups including Business Units, General Accounting, Group Finance, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit, and auditors.
• Competence in ensuring compliance with accounting policies and Local Tax & GAAP requirements.
• Experience supporting tax audits by aiding the tax team.
