Assistant Manager - Engineering Leader

Overview

Assistant Manager - Engineering Leader for vehicle wiring harness/project delivery, leading a small engineering team within the same domain.

What you'll do

• Ensure delivery of projects delegated to the Design Leader.
• Coach and mentor designers and senior design engineers.
• Provide domain expertise, challenge new concepts, and support technical direction.
• Manage a team of 4 to 7 members for projects in his domain.
• Make quick technical decisions based on technical BMIR standards to propose customer hypotheses.
• Develop systems as per customer requests.
• Seek approval from Manager or HOD for deviations affecting cost, quality, or delivery performance.

What you'll need

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in harness routing using CAD tools (CATIA) for passenger cars and commercial vehicles (panel van, truck, bus) in OEMs/TIER I suppliers.
• Knowledge of product Data Management tools.
• Knowledge of complete vehicle and vehicle architecture.
• Knowledge of harness components including connectors, wires, relays, fuses, protections, and supports.
• Experience in wiring harness and vehicle development programs and DFMEA.
• Knowledge of product design and drawings of wiring harness including circuit schematics.
• Knowledge of automobile EE functions on high-end vehicles (BCM/EMS/ABS/Airbags).
