Assistant Manager – IT Procurement (Hardware & Software)

Overview

Assistant Manager – IT Procurement will manage end-to-end procurement for IT hardware, software applications, infrastructure, and related technology services, ensuring timely delivery with compliant contracts and competitive commercial terms.

What you'll do

• Manage IT hardware procurement from requirements to PO release, including vendors and channel partners.
• Float RFQs/RFPs, obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and perform commercial evaluations.
• Procure and renew SaaS, software licenses, and enterprise applications, including upgrades and license changes.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranty/AMC, delivery timelines, and renewal terms for hardware and software.
• Coordinate vendor onboarding, availability, installation/commissioning, warranty support, and ongoing performance management.
• Run PR-to-PO procurement operations and maintain audit-ready procurement documentation.
• Coordinate contract and compliance reviews, track expiries/renewals, and support internal/external audits.

What you'll need

• 5–7 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably with exposure to IT hardware and software procurement.
• Strong understanding of IT hardware and software procurement.
• Good knowledge of software licensing, SaaS models, and technology procurement processes.
• Strong commercial negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Ability to evaluate TCO and analyze commercial proposals.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience with ERP/procurement tools and PR-to-PO workflows.
