Associate Engineer

Overview

The Associate Engineer will actively participate in the design and development of test equipment hardware and create test engineering artifacts, reporting to the Test Engineering technical manager.

What you'll do

• Support test equipment hardware design.
• Create test equipment design drawings, schematics, BOM and assembly instructions for ATE as per design specification.
• Develop verification and validation procedures for ATE to ensure the system will perform as specified to meet customer and system requirements.
• Support test equipment assembly and integration activities.
• Communicate technical issues through written, verbal and presentation media.
• Interface with customers, external suppliers, project managers, engineering managers, mechanical, software, electrical and systems engineers, and the manufacturing organization.

What you'll need

• BE / B-Tech / ME / M-Tech in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience in test equipment hardware design, including component selection, review/creation of electrical drawings, schematics and assembly drawings.
• Hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment such as NI hardware, third-party data acquisition systems, power supplies, DSO, DMM, analyser, signal generators, etc.
• Knowledge of communication protocols: Serial, Ethernet, CAN and ARINC.
• Experience using tools for configuration control and MS Office tools.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, OrCAD, PSpice and MS Visio.
