Job description

Overview

Associate Engineer responsible for aerospace supplier quality, qualification, performance improvement, and issue resolution across suppliers and internal manufacturing sites.

What you'll do

  • Evaluate and follow up on PPAP approvals for external and internal suppliers.
  • Investigate and resolve supplier technical, system, product, and process issues.
  • Analyze supplier issues using statistical and analytical tools.
  • Improve CAR/CAPA, process efficiency, and on-time closure performance.
  • Coordinate requirements and issue resolution among suppliers and Engineering, Plants, Operations, Quality, SQE, SDE, SCM, and CM teams.
  • Monitor and communicate performance of key suppliers.
  • Lead process transitions, projects, and site or customer coordination activities.

What you'll need

  • BE in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4–8 years of experience in supplier development and quality, manufacturing, or process engineering.
  • Experience working with global customers and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving and continuous-improvement tools, including Six Sigma, Kaizen, and A3.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Core Tools, GD&T, AIAG, SPC, and Gauge R&R.
  • Effective communication, presentation, influencing, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with electrical and electronic components, molding, precision machining, casting, forging, or stamping.
  • Knowledge of supplier special processes such as heat treatment, coating, and plating.
  • Knowledge of digital tools.
