Associate Project Engineer

Overview

Associate Project Engineer supporting customers and the sales organization during the proposal process with technical expertise. You will also contribute to product development and R&D work for embedded software in instrumentation devices for measurement and analytics.

What you'll do

• Support the assigned sales organization and customers during the proposal process.
• Prepare technical descriptions, determine costs, and prepare final documentation.
• Contribute to product development in Business Line Instrumentation from concept through design, validation, and release.
• Develop embedded software for instrumentation devices in multidisciplinary R&D teams.
• Coordinate with hardware and PC software/certification engineers for system debugging and testing.
• Analyze and implement functional requirements with attention to scalability and extensibility.
• Document results and apply assurance practices to meet quality and functional requirements.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Engineering, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
• 8 to 12 years of relevant embedded device software development experience for electronic measurement instruments.
• Hands-on knowledge of C/C++ and familiarity with DSP or ARM platforms.
• Ability to develop embedded OS (e.g., ucOS/RTOS/FreeRTOS/eCos/VxWorks/Linux).
• Sound knowledge of IDE tools including IAR/CCS/Keil.
• Experience with hardware driver development.
• Strong interest in physics and sensing technologies.
