Associate Technical Architect - SD

Overview

Associate Technical Architect (Software Development) focused on Epic Integrations for healthcare data exchange. You’ll design and maintain ingestion pipelines and secure integrations for HL7 v2 and FHIR workflows.

What you'll do

• Architect, test, and maintain batch and stream ingestion pipelines for high-volume HL7 v2 and FHIR messages.
• Set up secure, automated server-to-server integrations with hospital EHRs using OAuth 2.0 asymmetric authentication.
• Implement data quality validation including schema evolution checks, automated error handling, deduplication, and real-time transformations.
• Ensure ingestion channels comply with PHM, HIPAA, and SOC 2 with complete auditability.
• Tune performance by resolving network bottlenecks and optimizing distributed queries across on-prem and hybrid cloud.
• Design enterprise SaaS microservices and supporting testing, documentation, and code reviews.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience.
• Expertise in Epic modules (Ambulatory, Inpatient, MyChart) and integration technologies (FHIR, HL7 v2, Epic Interconnect, Chronicles, Clarity, Caboodle).
• Track record building SaaS microservices using ReactJS and Python APIs (FastAPI, Flask, Django).
• Experience with containerized or serverless AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS).
• End-to-end architecture experience including requirements, database interactions, and workflow translation.
• Testing and tooling experience with unit/integration testing (Pytest, Jest, React Testing Library) and Git.
• Ability to lead code reviews and troubleshoot cross-environment production issues in distributed Agile teams.
