Assurance Sr Associate 1 - Nonprofit & Education

Overview

Assurance Senior Associate role focused on performing audit procedures, identifying risks, and preparing audit deliverables for clients in the nonprofit and education domain.

What you'll do

• Understand client needs and expectations, including business/industry context and accounting control systems.
• Apply the RSM audit approach, methodology, and tools.
• Perform audit procedures and tests and ensure proper documentation of work performed.
• Identify risks and accounting/auditing issues and discuss them with engagement teams.
• Research technical accounting issues and develop industry expertise.
• Prepare audit reports and management letters while exercising professional skepticism and judgment.
• Provide supervision and development training for associates and ensure timely, high-quality client service.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s in Commerce.
• 3+ years of relevant experience (for non-qualified candidates).
• CA qualified + 1 year relevant experience, or ACCA/CPA qualified + 2 years relevant experience.
• Strong technical skills in accounting including IFRS or GAAP and GAAS.
• Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
