Automation Engineer

Overview

Automation Engineer (IT/OT Specialist) to manage and troubleshoot plant-level IT/OT integration, SCADA (Ignition), industrial networking, and OT cybersecurity while ensuring compliance with global automation and IT standards.

What you'll do

• Maintain plant IT-OT network and Ignition SCADA architecture.
• Ensure uptime and performance of SCADA applications, historian, and assigned OT servers.
• Troubleshoot SCADA connectivity, OPC communication, database latency, and network interruptions.
• Configure and maintain Ignition Gateway redundancy and Perspective/Vision modules.
• Manage Kepware OPC Server and OPC UA communications.
• Design and manage industrial network infrastructure, including VLANs, firewalls, and switches.
• Present and obtain approvals for new automation/IT-OT solutions and security upgrades; support audits.

What you'll need

• 6–8 years of experience (as stated in the posting).
• Hands-on IT-OT integration & SCADA (Ignition) specialization (stated as a requirement).
• Expert proficiency in Ignition SCADA (Vision/Perspective).
• Advanced experience with Kepware OPC Server.
• Advanced MongoDB/SQL database management.
• Strong knowledge of industrial network design and IT/OT firewall configuration.
• Educational qualification: Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
