Automation Engineer

Overview

Automation Engineer role for the Tissue Machine Controls & Automation department, leading global automation delivery projects from planning through implementation and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Drive automation delivery in global projects.
• Coordinate planning and implementation activities.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams on automation workstreams.
• Collaborate with customers and project management stakeholders.
• Contribute to project-related development work.
• Continuously improve working methods within your area of responsibility.

What you'll need

• Experience with Valmet DNA or equivalent DCS/PLC platforms.
• Experience with HMI and SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of machine safety standards and risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, or OPC UA.
• Exposure to drive systems and motion control applications.
• Experience supporting commissioning and startup activities at customer sites.
• Strong industrial automation and electrical engineering expertise.

Nice to have

• AutoCAD Electrical experience.
• CMSE certification.
• Functional Safety knowledge.
