Overview
AVP, Software Engineering to lead a team modernizing the Practice Management portfolio at LPL Financial’s Global Capability Center in Hyderabad.
What you'll do
- Build, coach, and develop engineers while setting a culture of ownership and craftsmanship.
- Drive modernization by improving architecture, reducing risk, retiring debt, and migrating to durable cloud patterns without “big bang” disruption.
- Establish engineering standards for reliability, security, observability, testing, and operational readiness.
- Partner cross-functionally to prioritize outcomes, manage tradeoffs, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Apply AI for customer and operations workflows, improving speed, accuracy, and auditability within governance.
- Use AI to accelerate engineering delivery through design assistance and code/test/docs workflows with quality and compliance protections.
What you'll need
- 10+ years software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
- 5+ years leading engineering teams (managers and senior ICs).
- Strong Oracle PL/SQL engineering (packages, procedures, functions, triggers, bulk operations, complex business logic).
- Strong SQL tuning/performance work (execution plans, indexing, AWR/ASH, partition strategy, production optimization and troubleshooting).
- Strong relational data modelling and operational data discipline.
- Ability to introduce AI-enabled capabilities and/or AI-accelerated engineering with measurable impact and appropriate controls.
- Track record shipping and operating mission-critical applications.
Nice to have
- Domain familiarity with advisor/practice onboarding, compensation, registration/licensing workflows, or fee/billing platforms.
- Experience with distributed systems, APIs, event-driven patterns, and pragmatic microservices.
- Background shaping CI/CD, automated testing strategy, SRE practices, incident learning, and engineering metrics.
- Familiarity with model/workflow governance, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
- Experience with .NET/C# and cloud-native engineering on AWS.
- Comfort with Python for automation, services, or data/AI-adjacent workloads.
