Business Unit Controller

Overview

Business Unit Controller responsible for local statutory and tax compliance, month-end close, reconciliations, and balance sheet/cost account analysis across one or more countries.

What you'll do

• Ensure local statutory and tax compliance by coordinating with outsourced service providers.
• Work with business partners to ensure legal entities are accurately and timely accounted for in enterprise systems.
• Support good controls for underlying processes and ensure month-end close aligns with global reporting timetables.
• Review reconciliations of critical accounts and ensure accurate transaction coding per accounting policies.
• Analyze Balance Sheet and Cost accounts and participate in regional balance sheet and cost reviews.
• Liaise with auditors for statutory and SOX audits and support tax packs, provisions, and tax account monitoring.
• Coordinate with Transfer Pricing for quarterly group calculations and perform local true-up calculations.

What you'll need

• 4 to 5 years of core prior experience.
• Strong accounting background and understanding of accounting regulations and Accounting Standards.
• Working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems.
• Preferably participated in audits of large to medium scale organizations.
• Ability to form strong customer relationships and deliver service.
• Awareness of tax and statutory requirements.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to meet deadlines.
