Group Financial Controller

Overview

Group Financial Controller in the Financial Reporting & Control (FRC) team, leading financial results for Tide’s India entities.

What you'll do

• Lead day-to-day bookkeeping, month-end close, and financial reporting for Tide’s India entities.
• Own and ensure the accuracy of the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow for assigned entities.
• Ensure balance sheet substantiation, reconciliation, and control processes.
• Oversee preparation of statutory accounts and support the annual financial statements process.
• Partner with business and product teams on new products and back-end accounting processes.
• Drive finance transformation, including automation of financial processes and deployment of AI tools.
• Lead audit and tax responses for India entities and engage with external auditors and tax authorities.

What you'll need

• Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Have 10–15 years of experience in financial reporting and control (ideally financial services or fintech).
• Have strong technical expertise in audit, accounting, and provisioning.
• Have proven experience leading and developing a team of finance professionals.
• Have a track record of business partnering with product and commercial teams for new product launches.
• Have experience driving finance transformation, process automation, and/or AI adoption in a finance function.
• Have experience leading responses to external audit and tax authority enquiries.
