Civil/Structural Engineer

Overview

Entry to mid-level Forensic Civil/Structural Engineer (PE or SE) to support forensic investigations, technical reporting, and expert testimony for clients across the US.

What you'll do

• Conduct field observations, testing, and data collection for forensic investigations, including steep roof inspections.
• Prepare technical reports with observations, testing results, research, and opinions or recommendations.
• Coordinate with building departments to determine repair directives.
• Develop technical topics for publication through research.
• Meet with and present findings to peers and clients.
• Engage in client-relations business development/marketing.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school.
• PE or SE license.
• 0 to 5 years of experience as a forensic engineer.
• Ability and/or willingness to climb moderate to steep-pitched roofs using hand rope assist, rope-and-harness, aerial lifts, etc.
• Willingness to work at heights.
• Familiarity with modern building codes and industry standards.
• Valid Driver's License.

Details

• Location: Alpharetta, GA, United States.
• Assignments require regular local and regional travel to project sites.
• Work at heights and climbing steep roofs with provided gear.
