Overview
Commercial Counsel for GTM within the legal team, supporting go-to-market transactions and enterprise agreements while contributing to responsible AI commercial work.
What you'll do
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements focused on GTM/sales transactions and enterprise customer contracts.
- Partner with Sales and GTM teams to support deal velocity and provide legal guidance.
- Build and maintain commercial legal infrastructure including contract templates, playbooks, and process improvements.
- Partner with Policy, Safeguards, and Research teams on AI governance initiatives.
- Identify and escalate legal risks while supporting business momentum.
- Stay current on legal developments affecting AI technologies.
What you'll need
- Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (California preferred).
- 3-5 years of legal experience with exposure to commercial contracts, SaaS agreements, or technology transactions.
- Ability to communicate and translate legal concepts for non-lawyer audiences.
- Low-ego, collaborative approach for working with colleagues and external partners.
- Curiosity about AI technology, AI policy, and responsible AI development.
- Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder agreements with technical and policy considerations.
Details
- Hybrid work policy: in-office presence at least 25% of the time, and at least 3 days/week in San Francisco, Seattle, or New York offices.
- Annual compensation range: $265,000 to $335,000 USD (OTE/annual).
- Visa sponsorship is available, but not for every role/candidate.
