Overview

Compliance Officer for fund management in GIFT City, Gujarat, supporting the setup and ongoing operations of a Fund Management Entity (FME) and its managed funds.

What you'll do

• Ensure compliance with IFSCA (Fund Management) Regulations, SEZ, AML/CFT & KYC, and other applicable laws and guidelines.
• Provide oversight and guidance to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal controls.
• Act as the primary point of contact and liaison for regulatory matters with regulators, auditors, service providers, and the Board.
• Establish, implement, and continuously enhance the FME compliance framework and related internal policies and procedures.
• Oversee regulatory filings, periodic returns, disclosures, annual reports, and other statutory submissions.
• Monitor compliance with IFSCA/SEZ/GST requirements and enforce the Code of Conduct specified in the IFSC (Fund Management) Regulations, 2025.
• Implement and monitor AML/CFT processes and administer investor due diligence, surveillance, and suspicious transaction reporting.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of compliance experience in securities markets or financial products in the asset management industry, specifically Alternative Investment Fund or Mutual Fund compliance.
• Professional qualification such as CS, CA, or MBA in finance.
• Professional qualification example: member of ICAI/ICSI/ICMAI or LLB.
• Qualifications such as CFA, FRM, or any other IFSCA-approved certification.
• Strong understanding of IFSCA regulations, AML/CFT, KYC, regulatory reporting, and corporate governance.
• Maintain mandatory certifications: NISM-IFSCA-01 (AML/CFT) and an ICSI course on Regulatory Framework for Fund Management in IFSC: AIFs and Retail Schemes.
