Consultant- Data lake / ETL testing

Overview

QA Engineer specializing in Data Testing / ETL testing for Guidewire’s Global Delivery team.

What you'll do

• Perform end-to-end ETL testing for source-to-target validation, reconciliation, and transformation checks.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries for backend data validation.
• Create detailed test plans, scenarios, and test cases/scripts based on mapping documents, user stories, and requirements.
• Run reconciliation checks across legacy, staging, target databases, and reporting layers.
• Validate migrated/loaded data correctness in target applications for business scenarios.
• Log, track, and manage defects to closure in Jira with SQL evidence and impact analysis.

What you'll need

• 4–6 years overall QA/testing experience.
• At least 2–3 years focused on data testing or data migration in enterprise systems.
• Strong SQL skills including joins, aggregations, and reconciliation queries.
• Hands-on experience in data migration to transactional systems or ETL/ELT and data warehousing/data lake testing.
• Experience designing data test strategies and authoring detailed test cases.
• Experience isolating defects using SQL, mapping documents, and logs with root-cause and business impact articulation.
