Controllership Specialist - Revenue Recognition

Overview

Controllership Specialist - Revenue Recognition is responsible for overseeing revenue accounting processes through the monthly close and supporting related compliance, reporting, and audit documentation.

What you'll do

• Oversee revenue accounting processes, including monthly close activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare journal entries and perform reconciliations for the revenue month-end close, supporting SEC disclosures and reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and related guidance for appropriate revenue recognition.
• Conduct preliminary contract analysis and prepare revenue schedules as needed.
• Maintain documentation to support audit and compliance activities, including Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Research revenue accounting guidance and prepare technical accounting memos and contract summaries.
• Support revenue-related projects, including system design, testing, and implementation of process updates.

What you'll need

• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience with revenue recognition under US GAAP (ASC 606), IFRS 15, or Ind AS 115.
• Ability to review, analyze, and interpret contracts.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong technical accounting and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, ACCA, or CWA (preferred).
