Customer Success Engineer

Overview

Customer Success Engineer as the primary technical owner for long-term customer outcomes across the Veeam Data Platform. Own onboarding, adoption, optimization, and resilience practices, while identifying risks and growth opportunities for assigned enterprise/commercial accounts.

What you'll do

• Configure customer accounts and customize backup policies and storage.
• Lead onboarding, orient stakeholders, and walk through admin portals and support channels.
• Identify migration opportunities and analyze usage/environment to drive adoption planning.
• Conduct assessments, build protection plans, and recommend software products and architectures across the Veeam Data Platform.
• Run recovery simulations and apply the Veeam DRMM to track and report resilience posture.
• Monitor churn risk signals, define mitigation plans, and provide technical insights for renewal strategy.
• Deliver quarterly resilience reports and support executive stakeholder updates (CISO/CIO) on risk, status, and opportunities.

What you'll need

• 5+ years in customer-facing engineering roles focused on data backup and recovery.
• Advanced level of English and German.
• Hands-on expertise across operating systems, virtualization, storage, and cloud platforms.
• Hands-on scripting/automation experience and knowledge of DR&R best practices.
• Experience designing/executing protection plans, migrations, and recovery simulations.
• VMCE certification required (may be completed post-hire within an agreed timeframe).
• Ability to translate business outcomes into technical adoption roadmaps with measurable value.

• Account coverage: typically 5–50 Enterprise and Commercial-Named accounts with $100K+ ARR.
