Cyber Security Architect

Overview

The Cyber Security Architect will design and maintain security architectures for IT systems and applications, ensuring alignment with business and compliance requirements and supporting ISO27001 compliance.

What you'll do

• Design and develop cyber security architectures for IT systems and applications.
• Analyze existing IT infrastructures and applications to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Define and implement cyber security standards, guidelines, and best practices across the organization.
• Support project teams in integrating cyber security requirements into solution designs and project plans.
• Conduct cyber security assessments, architecture reviews, and risk analyses for new and existing systems.
• Collaborate with the Cyber Defence Center / Security Operations Center (CDC/SOC) to ensure effective incident response and continuous improvement of security measures.
• Lead and participate in cyber security related projects, including cloud security, network security, and application security.
• Provide guidance and training to IT teams and business units on cyber security topics.
• Stay up to date with current cyber security trends, threats, and technologies, and proactively adapt the security architecture accordingly.
• Steer and support partners in operating cyber security services like Proxy, CASB, Firewall, and Vulnerability Management service.

What you'll need

• Completed degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or a comparable qualification.
• 5–10 years of professional experience in IT security architecture or a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, such as ISO 27001 and NIST, security technologies, and architecture methodologies.
• Experience in designing secure IT infrastructures, networks, and cloud environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex security topics clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience with Data Loss Prevention and Data Classification is an advantage.
• Fluency in German language is beneficial.
