Data Infrastructure Engineer Intern

Overview

Data Infrastructure Engineer Intern to support data warehousing, data pipelines, and analytics through SQL and troubleshooting.

What you'll do

• Assist in maintaining and improving data warehousing systems (AWS DMS, Redshift).
• Monitor data pipelines, identify issues, and troubleshoot basic problems.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for analytics and data validation.
• Collaborate with engineers and analysts to support data needs and use cases.
• Participate in testing, documentation, and improving reliability of data systems.
• Automate repetitive daily manual processes to reduce operational overhead.

What you'll need

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Basic understanding of relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, relational concepts) and no sql databases.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, Go, or similar).
• Interest in data infrastructure, distributed systems, or backend engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Demonstrated experience working with Claude (or equivalent large language model tools) to enhance productivity and research.
