Design Manager

Overview

Design Manager for large-scale greenfield projects, responsible for leading design development and coordination from concept through construction completion.

What you'll do

• Lead design vision and strategy and align it with client objectives and project feasibility.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams across architects, engineers, and specialty consultants.
• Oversee design deliverables across concept, schematic, design development, and construction documentation phases.
• Manage client and stakeholder design communication, including steering committee updates and design brief translation.
• Establish design quality and compliance checks across project phases and disciplines.
• Support value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize cost, quality, and buildability.

What you'll need

• 8–10 years of progressive design management experience, with at least 8 years on large-scale commercial, mixed-use, or institutional projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Project Management (preferred).
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and integrated design workshops/charrettes.
• Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination processes for construction documentation.
• Experience conducting design reviews for compliance with codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
