Developer Advocate

Overview

As a Senior Developer Advocate in Roche’s Engineering Excellence & Experience (E3) organization, you will bridge the global developer community and internal platform teams by engineering, educating, and building community around E3 tools.

What you'll do

• Prototype technical integrations and templates between E3 platforms and development pipelines.
• Troubleshoot issues for community members, including architecture reviews and pairing sessions.
• Create presentations, demos, technical blogs, and sample solutions for E3 capabilities.
• Support internal engineering community via inner-sourcing, tech talks, and hackathons.
• Capture developer feedback by reporting bugs, creating feature requests, and documenting workflow friction.
• Drive adoption of E3 capabilities and communicate trends to E3 leadership.
• Advocate improvements in documentation, API usability, and end-to-end developer experience.

What you'll need

• Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of full-stack software development, DevOps, or Platform Engineering experience.
• Comfort writing code and analyzing architecture pipelines.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD engines, and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, automated code review agents).
• Ability to build reference architectures, starter kits, and mock environments developers can deploy quickly.
• Strong customer focus, ownership, and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
