Director, Field Sales Engineering

Overview

Director, Field Sales Engineering (New Products) responsible for building and leading a specialist Sales Engineering team to incubate and scale new technical offerings.

What you'll do

• Build and lead the New Product Sales Engineering organization, including defining the operating model and success metrics.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Product Marketing on go-to-market strategies and technical positioning for new launches.
• Engage in executive-level customer conversations and lead complex technical discovery.
• Develop repeatable technical sales plays and proof-of-value frameworks to accelerate adoption.
• Own performance against adoption, pipeline influence, and revenue goals for new products.
• Create structured feedback loops between field teams and Product/Engineering to influence roadmap prioritization.
• Ensure alignment between specialist and mainline GTM teams for a cohesive customer experience.

What you'll need

• 4-year degree from an accredited university.
• 7+ years of experience managing a technical team, ideally in sales engineering.
• Proven success hiring, developing, and retaining leadership talent.
• Experience creating scalable, consistent feedback loops for management process improvements and scaling.
• Experience with SE capacity planning based on Sales needs across different segments globally.
• Experience building and integrating software tools to measure organizational performance impact.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally across Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and Support to deliver sales-cycle results.
