Electrical Engineer II Senior

Overview

Design and support electrical and electronic engineering assemblies, control panels and cable/harness systems for semiconductor capital equipment, working under general supervision.

What you'll do

• Design or modify electrical or electronic engineering assemblies, layouts, schematics, drawings or specifications of moderate scope under general supervision
• Design electrical control panels and interface with various power sources
• Design cable and harness systems for AC modules, capital equipment, sensors and temperature controllers
• Perform basic engineering analysis under general supervision
• Perform and generate basic engineering test reports; generate related alpha/gamma documentation for product releases
• Prepare engineering specification documents and test specifications, and interface with other business unit engineering, software and manufacturing teams
• Conduct reliability testing
• Work closely with the North America group and suppliers / contract manufacturers
• Coordinate the procurement and assembly of electrical or electronic components and equipment, and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues
• Troubleshoot a variety of moderately complex electrical problems, including field issues and module failures, and interact with field engineers for bug resolution
• Implement concepts for product issues and electrical solutions of moderate difficulty
• Assist in the development of electrical product specifications
• Clearly communicate complex information in straightforward situations

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 - 8 years of related experience
• Hands-on experience in electronic and electrical hardware design and capital equipment control panel design
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design
• Knowledge of Semi, IEC, ANSI and NEC protocols / standards
• Knowledge of component obsolescence and selection, schematic generation, and layout reviews
• Knowledge of interconnect, schematic design, and cable and harness design
• Knowledge of UL / CE and Semi safety requirements
