Electrical Program Lead Engineer

Overview

Electrical Program Lead Engineer for wafer fabrication equipment platform development, owning system-level electrical and controls architecture from concept through manufacturing and field support.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end electrical, controls, and system engineering for assigned tool sub-modules and platforms.
• Define architecture, interfaces, theory of operation, and integration strategy.
• Conduct design reviews and own concept-to-validation schematic design and integration.
• Drive NPD and high-complexity CIP projects with reliability, cost, and/or productivity requirements using test data.
• Assess alternative electrical/circuit solutions to meet functional and performance requirements.
• Define cut-in strategy for multiple sub-system changes with NPI engineers and manage CFT participation.
• Establish electrical–controls–firmware–software interface boundaries and architectural assumptions.

What you'll need

• 8-12 years with a Bachelor’s degree or 5-8 years with a Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Strong electrical engineering execution focused on power distribution and control panel design.
• Capability to assess loading, perform SCCR and thermal calculations, and guide power box/panel design.
• Experience defining power up/down sequences and interlock validation for bring-up and verification.
• Proficiency in circuit concept design including safety interlocks and circuit analyses.
• Expertise with digital/analog I/O mapping and interfaces including Drives, RS485, and EtherCAT.
• Experience ensuring grounding, shielding, EMC robustness, and power electronics protection behaviors.
