Overview
Engineer - Datacenter Operations will support the Navi Mumbai datacenter and test lab infrastructure, with a primary focus on maintaining Linux, macOS, and mobile device fleets.
What you'll do
- Deploy, configure, monitor, and maintain Linux and macOS endpoints and server/test-rig environments via CLI.
- Manage and troubleshoot onsite mobile hardware fleets for Android and iOS devices.
- Handle OS-level troubleshooting for mobile devices and workstations, including connectivity, permissions, software installation, and performance.
- Operate datacenter networking and physical rack infrastructure, including cabling, Wi-Fi APs, and PDUs.
- Perform daily environment inspections and monitoring for rack temperatures, power draw, Wi-Fi/AP status, and physical port links.
- Track and resolve Level 2 support tickets end-to-end in Jira and maintain operational documentation in Confluence.
- Provide occasional assistance with rack-mount hardware and supervise external vendors when needed.
What you'll need
- 2–4 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or datacenter/lab support roles.
- Business-level spoken and written English for technical communication and Jira updates.
- Strong hands-on proficiency with Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL/Debian) and macOS using command-line interfaces.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting Android and iOS devices/tablets at scale in an enterprise/testing/lab setting.
- Knowledge of IP networking, TCP/IP, VLANs, Wi-Fi AP troubleshooting, switching, and physical connectivity.
- Operational experience using Jira for ticket lifecycle tracking and Confluence for documentation.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting skills for OS and infrastructure issues.
