Engineer II - Virtualization (Remote)

Overview

Engineer II to join CrowdStrike’s Virtualization team, helping engineer and maintain solutions for virtualization environments in a remote setup.

What you'll do

• Administer open source virtualization and VMware for production virtualization environments.
• Perform Linux engineering and administration tasks.
• Monitor, maintain, and operate a production environment.
• Troubleshoot server hardware issues.
• Automate common tasks, deploy using an IaaS model, and use Chef or similar tools.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with other team members.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience working in a large scale production environment.
• US Citizenship or Green Card Holder.
• Experience with OpenStack.
• Experience with Ansible.
• A bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in a computer-related field.
• Ability to write simple to moderately complex scripts/programs for automation (Python, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, or Go).
• Chef, Python, or Go experience is mentioned as a plus.
