Engineer - Mechanical

Overview

Mechanical Engineering role in the Transit Engineering domain, providing design and detailing solutions within WITEC’s Mechanical Engineering group.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop Transit products following the Engineering R&D process.
• Perform concept development, engineering analysis/calculations, and technical risk mitigation.
• Create detailed design deliverables including DFMEA, DFX, test plans, design validation, documentation, and release.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design modifications and OEM component selection.
• Work with potential suppliers to meet performance and cost objectives.
• Develop 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings and create parts lists, layouts, and assembly drawings.
• Support activities across analysis, proposals, testing & validation, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.

What you’ll need

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks and Teamcenter.
• Ability to create accurate mechanical engineering drawings and bills of material.
• Knowledge of sheet metal parts manufacturing, casting design, and machined parts manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GD&T as per ASME/EN standards.
• Good knowledge of materials including carbon and stainless steel and heat treatment processes.
• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in mechanical engineering with minimum 3 years of design experience.
