Mechanical Engineer III - (E3)

Overview

Mechanical Engineer III (E3) focused on robotics for semiconductor equipment, owning design through validation of automation and robotics subsystems.

What you'll do

• Own design and development of complex automation and robotics subsystems across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software domains.
• Act as design engineering authority for sub-modules, defining hardware/software specifications and working parameters for compatibility and performance.
• Complete detailed design of components and assemblies for robotics and substrate transfer/storage modules.
• Conduct engineering analysis (kinematics, dynamics, mechanism design, synthesis) to resolve complex technical issues.
• Build/evaluate/qualify prototypes or coordinate with suppliers to procure subsystems and verify specifications and performance.
• Plan and coordinate testing per internal standards and reliability specifications; drive design/operational changes based on results.
• Identify and resolve issues across operability, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability, and system integration.

What you'll need

• BS/ME in Mechanical Engineering or MTech/BTech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• GD&T knowledge.
• Tolerance stack-up know-how.
• Hands-on experience with CAD packages.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical explanation skills for complex issues.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Strong computer literacy and hands-on engineering tool usage.
