Overview

Engineering Intern for Manufacturing Engineering within LIGO Manufacturing Engineering at Lam Research, based in Bangalore.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and implement safe and cost-effective simple fixtures and methods of assembly.
• Perform virtual build of sub-assemblies/assemblies and define sequence of operations for pilot builds.
• Define process and methods for high-volume manufacturing (operations method sheet, routing, sequencing).
• Interface with global manufacturing teams to address assembly sequence, fixtures, and product design issues.
• Contribute to idea generation and process improvement initiatives.
• Support understanding of Lam products and the manufacturing process.

What you'll need

• B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 65% aggregate.
• Graduating in 2027 with no backlogs.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and methods.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Technology, Strength of Materials, and Theory of Machines.
• Understanding of machining, welding, molding, sheet-metal fabrication, and casting processes.
• Design for Manufacturing and Assembly with structured problem solving.
