Engineering Manager for Ad Serving, leading the Ad Mediation area within Roku’s real-time advertising platform.

What you'll do

• Define and drive a multi-year technical strategy for ad serving mediation platforms.
• Set the long-term technical vision and own scalability, stability, and performance.
• Shape product direction by understanding Roku’s advertising business and monetization strategy.
• Lead and grow engineering teams to execute product and technical roadmaps.
• Hire, grow, and retain top talent and foster a healthy team environment.
• Improve developer productivity by streamlining workflows, modernizing tooling, and reducing operational load.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience architecting and building large distributed systems.
• Proven track record leading complex systems in dynamic, high-growth environments.
• Track record building and leading high-performing senior and staff+ engineering teams.
• Experience leading complex, low-latency, revenue-critical large-scale distributed backend systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional teams and initiatives.
• Experience fostering AI-first thinking within engineering teams to drive innovation.
• AI literacy and curiosity, including prior GenAI experimentation or exploration out of curiosity.

• New York only: estimated annual salary range of $360,000 to $440,000.
