Engineering Manager

Overview

Lead a few areas within Postman's Automation Testing team, which builds how developers test and automate their APIs, from local runs and CI pipelines to scheduled and large-scale cloud runs. You will own the end-to-end product experience and stay hands-on alongside staff and senior engineers.

What you'll do

• Own the end-to-end experience of your areas, across engineering, product and design
• Set technical direction with staff and senior engineers, and grow senior engineers into leads
• Hire, coach and grow engineers
• Own delivery and operational health: planning, commitments, on-call, incidents and customer escalations
• Partner with product, design, platform and customer-facing teams

What you'll need

• 8+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years managing engineers
• A record of building products and scaling them: in users, in reliability and in the team behind them
• A keen product and design eye: you care how the experience works end to end, not just whether it ships
• Hands-on with AI-native engineering: you use agents in your own work, and have brought them into how a team builds and operates
• Experience leading teams that include experienced senior engineers
• A strong individual-contributor background in backend or distributed systems, or developer tools

Nice to have

• Experience building products for developers or other engineers
• Experience with API testing, developer tools or test automation

• Work mode: in office three days a week, transitioning to five days a week by the end of the year
