Overview
Engineering Manager for Zocdoc’s Frontend Platform & Mobile team, leading shared frontend infrastructure and driving accessibility as a first-class discipline across web and mobile.
What you'll do
- Lead, manage, and grow a high-performing team of frontend engineers focused on design systems and component libraries.
- Own the strategy and roadmap for Zocdoc’s design system and accessible React component library for all product teams.
- Drive accessibility across Zocdoc’s web and mobile surfaces through planning, build, and QA processes.
- Partner with UX, Product, and Engineering to build and evolve a scalable, accessible, mobile-responsive component library.
- Deliver platform improvements to speed up frontend and mobile development organization-wide.
- Integrate generative AI tools into daily workflows to automate tasks and improve engineering workflows.
- Mentor and coach engineers to deliver work in React.js and related frontend/mobile technologies.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping software with frontend foundation (React, TypeScript, JavaScript).
- Demonstrated mobile development experience (iOS or Android).
- 2+ years of experience leading, growing, and inspiring engineering teams.
- Experience building or contributing to a design system or shared component library used across multiple product teams.
- A history of building polished, well-tested, accessible consumer products on web and mobile.
- Ability to integrate generative AI tools into daily workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/Math/Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
